Here's a wool long underwear set from the 1940s. These are military issue from the US Army or Navy. The top is long sleeve and pullover. The pants have a cotton yoke, button fly & lace-up back with metal rivets. We found these in the south & the pants appear to be virtually unworn. Designer: unknown Condition: Pre-owned in fair/good condition. The top is flea-bitten with several holes around the underarm. Fraying around the collar & cuffs. Some discoloration on the top, it appears yellowish in contrast to the pants that are in very good condition. Size: pants are 32 waist & top is large MEASUREMENTS (inches): TOP: Shoulder to shoulder: 21 Underarm to underarm across front: 21 Armhole: 9 Cuffs: 3.5 Hem flat across the front: 20 PANTS: Waist flat across the front: 16 Rise: 13.5 Inseam: 24.5 Thigh width: 8.5 Ankle width: 4 Length from top to bottom: 38 *Measurements are taken flat and doubled when appropriate.
